Hints and Tips
To ensure the mixture isn’t dry, use pork & veal mince with a fat content of 15%.
Firstly grate the zucchini and place on kitchen towel, sprinkle with salt and fold up into a parcel shape and allow to sit for about 10 minutes. This will help absorb the water in the zucchini and ensure your mixture isn’t too wet.
Next, saute the onion until it’s translucent. Allow to cool.
Place all ingredients (except one of the eggs, pastry sheets and sesame seeds) in a large bowl and combine. Allow mixture to rest for 10 minutes.
Once the pastry sheet has thawed completed, place a third of the filling in a log shape at the end of the sheet away from you – leaving about 2cm (0.8 inch) at the top of the pastry sheet.
Mix together the remaining egg with the milk and brush around the edges of each piece of pastry. Roll up and cut into six pieces.
Place on a lined baking tray and brush with remaining egg mixture and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
Bake for 20-25 minutes and serve with ketchup.
